International Cooperation


Since its establishment, the School has adhered to the strategic goal of "cooperating globally and fostering international talents" It has continuously expanded and deepened international research collaborations while establishing long-term partnerships with high-level universities. The School has initiated two international academic organizations, received approval for three provincial/ministerial-level international cooperation platforms, and hosted or organized multiple high-impact international academic conferences. It is committed to building a stable, efficient, and sustainable mechanism for international exchange and cooperation, while actively contributing to the creation of a low-carbon, sustainable built environment.

International Academic Exchange

In recent years, over 30 faculty members have visited universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Sweden, Australia, and other countries for academic exchange. The School has also appointed several renowned international experts as adjunct professors, including Prof. Thomas Olofsson (Vice-Chancellor of Umeå University, Sweden), Prof. Risto Kosonen (Aalto University, Finland), and Prof. Arsen Melikov (Technical University of Denmark). Additionally, six faculty members of the School hold positions in international academic organizations, and 13 serve as editorial board members or hold higher positions for internationally renowned academic journals.

l September 2018, Hosted the "Sino-UK Workshop on Renewable Energy Systems for Zero-Carbon Towns"

l 2021–2023, held three editions in succession "International Graduate Summer Camp on Indoor Environment and Advanced Ventilation Technologies"

l August 2021, Hosted the "International Conference on Air Environment in Underground Spaces"

l July 2022, Organized the "First XAUAT Let's Plus International Course Week"

l September 2022, Hosted the "16th International Conference on Indoor Ventilation – ROOMVENT 2022" (the first time it was held in China)

l August 2024, Organized the "4th International Forum on Underground Space Environment and the 2nd Graduate Summer Camp on Advanced Ventilation and Energy Efficiency Technologies for Underground Spaces and Built Environments"

Major International Achievements

l Kitchen Pollutants Control Ventilation (published by Springer), co-authored by Prof. Angui Li and Prof. Kosonen (Finland).

l Handbook of Ventilation Technology for the Built Environment (published by IET).

l Industrial Ventilation Design Guidebook – 2nd edition (published by Elsevier).

l REHVA Guidebook on Design of Occupant Targeted Ventilation.

l Guidelines for Epidemic Prevention Design and Management of Indoor Air Environment in Public and Residential Buildings (Trial), led by Prof. Angui Li's team – China's first national emergency design and management guideline for indoor air environment epidemic prevention in public and residential buildings, translated into English, German, Swedish, and other languages for global promotion.

l Prof. Angui Li's team solved the problem of ensuring stable operation and safety of equipment at the CCS Hydropower Station (Ecuador's largest engineering project) under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions.

l Prof. Angui Li received the World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies (WSSET) Innovation Award in 2019.
